Nigeria: Governor mourns victims of fatal road crash in Kano

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of five individuals in a tragic road accident near Danbatta Local Government Area.

The accident occurred on Sunday near Shantake, about seven kilometers from Danbatta town. The victims were returning from Bauchi, where they had escorted a newlywed bride to her marital home.

Tragically, all five victims belonged to the same extended family. Alhaji Surajo lost two of his children in the crash, while his younger brother, Alhaji Salisu Dan Raino, lost three.

Describing the incident as a devastating loss, the governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the affected families and the Danbatta community. He also offered prayers for strength and comfort for those grieving.

Governor Yusuf assured the community that the state government stands with them during this period of mourning and prayed for eternal rest for the departed souls.
