A 41-year-old woman, Oluwakemi Gbadebo, was arraigned before the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday for allegedly stealing N8.8 million from her employer, Remedial Health Solution Ltd.

Gbadebo, who reportedly has no fixed address, is facing two charges—conspiracy and theft. The alleged offences took place between 2022 and 2024 at the company’s office in the Ogba area of Lagos.

Prosecutor Inspector Josephine Ikhayere told the court that Gbadebo, while employed at the company, conspired with others still at large to misappropriate the funds for personal use. The actions are said to violate Sections 287 and 411 of the Lagos State Criminal Law of 2015.

Gbadebo pleaded not guilty. Magistrate Lateef Owolabi granted her bail set at N1.5 million, requiring two reliable sureties. The case was adjourned until July 1 for mention.
