A youth organization, Coalition of Southern Nigeria Youth Groups for ASIWAJU 2027, has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027. The group, comprising youths from 17 states in Southern Nigeria, cited Tinubu’s governance ideology and policies as the reason for their backing
The group’s Executive Director, Rikki Nwajiofor, described Tinubu as a symbol of generational progress, highlighting his commitment to Nigerian youth through action-driven and results-oriented policies. Some of the initiatives that have earned Tinubu the group’s support include:
The launch of the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program, which equips young Nigerians with cutting-edge digital skills in coding, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and more
Tinubu’s cabinet and political appointments reflect youth inclusion, with young people leading in various capacities.
EconomyInitiatives that promote creative and sports development, supporting youth-owned businesses and revitalizing the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
The group believes that Tinubu has laid a strong foundation for a modern Nigeria and deserves a second term to complete his noble mission. They argue that a four-year tenure is not enough to entrench life-changing policies and uproot corrupt practices that have held the nation back.
The group plans to leverage grassroots engagement, digital advocacy, and policy-driven initiatives to ensure massive youth participation in the upcoming electoral cycle and solidify Tinubu’s support base. They aim to contribute to the overall development of the nation by supporting Tinubu’s re-election bid.
