The race for Miss Supranational 2026 is heating up, and if the official evening gown portraits are anything to go by, this year’s finale is going to be all about drama, craftsmanship, and red-carpet glamour.

With just over a week to go before the crown is handed over, delegates from around the world have started unveiling their studio portraits in full evening wear. The images give fans the first real look at how each contestant plans to command the stage at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland, on 31 July 2026. 

Brazil’s Eduarda Braum will crown her successor at the end of the night, but the competition for “Best in Evening Gown” already looks fierce.

Lisa Konan went for pure drama. Her look is a black velvet mermaid gown with a fitted, structured bodice that flows into a sultry silhouette. The showstopper is a cascading royal blue cape, entirely hand-beaded, that trails all the way to the floor. It’s regal, moody, and made for a big stage moment.

Old Hollywood is back. Naa Asheley Nartey chose wine-red velvet paired with rhinestone detailing on a corseted bodice. An off-the-shoulder drape adds softness, while a thigh-high slit brings the edge. The look has already been generating buzz online for its classic-meets-modern balance.

If there’s a contender for Best in Evening Gown, it’s Elizabeth Blanco. Her lilac and lavender gown is fully hand-beaded and features sculpted long sleeves and a sheer, corseted bodice. The craftsmanship is meticulous — every inch of beadwork catches the light. It’s elegant without trying too hard, and that restraint is what makes it stand out.

Sadia Nagatori proved that impact doesn’t require beads from head to toe. She opted for a sleek, architectural cobalt blue two-piece. The floor-length sleeves flare out like a cape, and a bejewelled waist detail anchors the look. It’s modern, clean, and confident — a reminder that silhouette can speak louder than embellishment

She wears an emerald green gown from New Romantics Couture. The base is sheer nude, overlaid with metres of fully beaded fringe. The design features a plunging neckline and a high slit, and the fringe is designed to move under stage lights. It’s theatrical, kinetic, and exactly the kind of look that tends to land on “best dressed” lists. 

For South African fans, Benting’s gown signals confidence and a willingness to take risks — a strong statement heading into the final week of competition.

 chose understated sophistication: a teal, high-neck satin gown with a daring side slit. Simple, but the color and cut make it memorable.

went metallic with a magenta gown. The sheer, crystal-embellished corset is paired with a dramatically draped skirt that adds movement.

 kept it classic in a red halter-neck gown. The beaded skirt and thigh-high slit give it just enough glam to feel pageant-ready without overdoing it.

brought a softer, romantic energy in powder blue. The gown is covered in 3D floral embellishments, with matching floral detailing on the shoulder for cohesion.

From liquid velvet to full-beaded fringe, the range this year shows how much delegates are leaning into personality through fashion. Some are channeling royalty, others minimalism, others pure spectacle.

The 17th edition of Miss Supranational will take place on 31 July 2026 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. It’s one of the pageant world’s biggest stages, known for elaborate production and a global audience.

But fans don’t have to wait until the final to have a say. As part of an official influencer challenge, supporters can vote for their favorite delegate by engaging with her post on the official Miss Supranational Instagram account. Voting closes on Saturday, 25 July at 8pm, so there’s still time to rally behind a favorite before the window shuts.

That fan engagement has already pushed some of these portraits to go viral, with comments debating everything from fabric choice to cultural representation

In pageantry, the evening gown segment is more than just fashion. It’s where poise, stage presence, and storytelling come together. A gown can amplify a delegate’s message, highlight her national identity, or simply showcase confidence.
