Gov’t failure to comply with deportation of 3000 Gambians could lead to stiffer US travel ban
The Point has been reliably informed that the inclusion of The Gambia in the list of 41countries set to face U.S. government travel ban is because the Gambia government is yet to comply with the deportation of 3000 Gambians from the U.S.
However, if the government still fails to comply, the U.S. government will consider the option of deporting the 3000 Gambians to other countries – particularly South American countries to serve prison term there, as the U.S. government would not be able to shoulder the cost of keeping them.
