Nigeria: Nwoko warns APC: Don’t tamper with Delta North senatorial mandate

Senator Ned Nwoko has urged the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to protect the mandate he received from party members in Delta North Senatorial District during the party’s senatorial primary.

Speaking in Abuja, Nwoko said his victory reflected the overwhelming will of APC members in the district. He warned against any attempt to alter the outcome of the primary, calling it a “manufactured result” that would undermine internal democracy.

The senator stressed that the APC must safeguard the choice made by delegates in Delta North to maintain the party’s credibility ahead of future elections. He argued that protecting the mandate was essential to reward loyalty and prevent imposition of candidates.

Nwoko’s statement comes amid growing tensions over primary election results in several states, as the APC prepares for upcoming polls.
