A 26-year-old student of Yaba College of Technology, Udochukwu Prisca, is seeking urgent financial assistance to undergo a kidney transplant estimated at ₦30 million.

Prisca, who hails from Abia State and is enrolled in a Higher National Diploma programme, was forced to put her education on hold after she was diagnosed with advanced kidney disease in December 2024.

According to the Gifting Volunteer Network, a non-profit supporting medical cases, the illness began with swelling in Prisca’s legs and stomach. Tests carried out at Gbagada General Hospital revealed that both her kidneys had failed, a condition linked to prolonged uncontrolled hypertension.

She has since been undergoing dialysis twice a week to stay alive, but doctors say her survival now depends on a kidney transplant. The Medical Director at the hospital, Dr. A.T. Okunoren, confirmed the diagnosis and appealed to the public to help save her life.

Prisca herself made an emotional plea, expressing her dream of returning to school and completing her engineering studies.

“My dream is to go back to school and become an engineer. I need this transplant to live and pursue that dream,” she said.

Her friend, Faith Joseph, also appealed to the public for support, saying Prisca can no longer attend school or work due to her condition.

“We are begging with open hearts. Please, help us give Prisca another chance to live,” she pleaded.

Donations to support Prisca’s transplant can be made to the following account:

Account Name: Udochukwu Prisca Nneka

Account Number: 1030595893

Bank: FCMB

Any form of support could be life-saving for the young student.
