Nigeria: Oyo APC endorses Tinubu’s re-election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid for the 2027 presidential election. The party’s chairman, Mr. Olaide Abas, stated that the recent defection of members from opposition parties to the APC is a clear indication that many Nigerians are buying into the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu. According to Abas, Nigerians are shunning primordial sentiments and selfish interests and joining the APC, which is on course for national rebirth and holistic development of the nation. The APC recently welcomed defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party, Labour Party, including Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, his predecessor Ifeanyi Okowa, Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme, commissioners, and local government chairmen.
