Nigeria: ‘Magical’ and ‘world’s greatest hangover’: What guests are saying about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding

Two days after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot at New York’s Madison Square Garden, the secrecy around their wedding is starting to lift. While the couple have not released any photos, several A-list guests have begun posting online, offering the first real glimpses of what Friday night’s bash was like.

About 1,000 guests were reportedly on the list, with security so tight that phones were banned inside. Now, reactions are trickling out, ranging from heartfelt congratulations to jokes about post-wedding hangovers.

Actress Jessica Alba was among the first to confirm she was there. She shared an Instagram Story in a slinky black Prada gown with the caption: “We love. Congrats to T&T – such a beautiful night celebrating you.”

The post was set to Swift’s _Love Story_. In another Story set to _The Fate of Ophelia_, Alba took followers behind the scenes as she and partner Danny Ramirez got ready for the nuptials.

BBC Radio 1 host Greg James, who Swift invited to the wedding live on his show, also confirmed he attended. On Saturday he posted: “Just&t to say: true to her word, of course the invitation arrived and of course I couldn’t tell anyone. And oh my god, what an unbelievably brilliant night.”

James joked about the party’s scale, adding: “I am currently experiencing the world’s greatest hangover and unable to reply to the hilarious number of messages I have received over the last 24 hours.”

He wasn’t alone. Singer-actress Suki Waterhouse posted Francis Bacon’s line: “I often work best with a hangover because my mind is crackling with energy and I can think very clearly.”

Waterhouse also shared a carousel of New York photos, including a selfie in a silver gown with the caption “NYC, land of love.” While she didn’t directly say she was at the wedding, she had told _Variety_ earlier this year she was on the guest list and hoped to “get some inspiration” for her own upcoming wedding to Robert Pattinson.

Severance_ actor Adam Scott posted a photo with Paul Rudd captioned “T&T” with two hearts. Actress Toni Collette shared a floral sleeveless dress set to Swift’s _Paper Rings_ and later replied to Scott: “Been so good to see you guys. What a night!”

Singer Fergie posted a photo in “Vintage Christian Dior by Galliano” with the caption: “Got to play dress up… & celebrate love.”

Actress Niecy Nash shared a video of her ride to Madison Square Garden with wife Jessica Betts, plus photos in a strapless blue gown. “The Betts pulled up to the Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift wedding. A time was had. The love in the room was palpable,” she wrote. “Wowwwwwww is the best way to describe it. From beginning to end, no detail was spared! Congrats! Welcome to the club!”

Country singer Maren Morris posted videos of a group singing _Love Story_ in formalwear en route to the event. She ended the series with a photo of herself on a plane in sunglasses and a blanket: “24 hours of chaos and now I can sleep.”

Music video director Joseph Kahn, who directed Swift’s _Bad Blood_ and _Look What You Made Me Do_, called the wedding “so much funnier and emotional than expected.”

“I got to meet Steven Spielberg and the lovely Kate Capshaw and talk filmmaking with the GOAT,” he wrote. “As big as it was, it also felt very intimate. And yes, literally everyone was there. It was like living in the internet.”

Confirmed or strongly indicated attendees include Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Hugh Grant, Gracie Abrams, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hanks, Millie Bobby Brown, Ellie Goulding, Graham Norton, and Dakota Johnson. Many arrived and left via car to avoid photographers.

Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, was also there. In a Macy’s post about July 4 fireworks, she was asked about the wedding and said: “I really can’t say a heck of a lot but it was magical, man, magical.”

Other rumoured names include Sabrina Carpenter, Jennifer Lawrence, Lana Del Rey, Emma Stone, Haim, Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Greta Gerwig.

The ceremony took place Friday at Madison Square Garden under strict NDAs and a no-phone policy. Swift’s publicist confirmed Adam Sandler officiated, Austin Swift served as Man of Honour, and Jason Kelce was Best Man.

Swift wore Christian Dior Haute Couture with custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry. The couple also announced a $26 million donation to charities in New York and Kansas City.

The guest list was kept secret, and the couple have not shared official photos, making the guests’ social media posts the first public window into the event.

The recurring themes from guests are scale and intimacy. Despite 1,000 people, multiple stars described it as personal and emotional, not just a celebrity spectacle.

Alba called it “a beautiful night.” Nash said “the love in the room was palpable.” Kahn said it was “funnier and emotional than expected.” And James summed up the after-effects for many: “the world’s greatest hangover.”

For now, Swift and Kelce remain quiet online. But with more guests likely to share memories in the days ahead, the picture of “America’s royal wedding” is slowly coming into focus.
