Nigeria: Adamawa police arrest 567 suspects, rescued 17 victims

The Adamawa State Police Command has made significant strides in combating crime, arresting 567 suspects and rescuing 17 victims, including four kidnap victims and 13 trafficked children. The operation, carried out in various locations within and outside the state, was successful due to credible intelligence and collaborative efforts between different police units.
Two women, Mrs. Ngozi Abdulwahab and Mrs. Uche Okoye, were arrested for allegedly stealing and trafficking children from Adamawa to Anambra State and other parts of the country.
Seven suspected members of the Shilla gang were arrested for conducting house-to-house armed robberies.
Notorious Drug Dealer, Tukur Adamu, a 36-year-old drug dealer, was arrested for culpable homicide after allegedly murdering a young man over a N50,000 dispute related to Indian hemp sales
Six AK-47 rifles, three pump-action guns, and 11 fabricated assault rifles.
Three stolen vehicles, five tricycles, four motorcycles, two gas cylinders, computers, mobile phones, and various charms.
The Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankwambo, stated that the suspects would be arraigned soon after investigations are concluded. He appreciated Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for his support and thanked residents for providing actionable intelligence.
