Ebrima Camara, Lamin Camara and Alieu Joof confirmed for Team Gambia men’s athletics squad for Glasgow 2026

Banjul The Gambia, June 29, 2026 – The Gambia National Olympic Committee has confirmed that Ebrima Camara, Lamin Camara, and Alieu Joof will represent Team Gambia in the men’s athletics team at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. The trio joins the national delegation as The Gambia prepares to compete on one of the biggest stages in Commonwealth sport.
Ebrima Camara, one of The Gambia’s leading sprinters and national record holder in the men’s 100 metres, will once again spearhead the country’s sprint ambitions. He will be joined by fellow sprinters Lamin Camara and Alieu Joof, forming a strong men’s athletics team with hopes of delivering impressive performances in Glasgow.
This confirmation further strengthens Team Gambia’s athletics contingent as preparations continue for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, where the nation aims to build on its recent progress on the international stage.
