Do many people all over the world truly laugh at the US and us Americans (especially under Trump)?

Nope, no longer laughing. They are now sneering. I traveled to 3 nations which have been our staunchest allies in the last 3 weeks. Canada, the UK, and France. Talking to people there they see the US more as a great big inept country run by a man who doesn’t understand economics or business. They find the muskrat equally objectionable. I had people ask me if Americans have lost their minds. What could I say except “yup”.
I had one very wealthy businessman ask me if I knew how much the US is loathed for Trump. They respected Biden as an intelligent man who understand negotiation and understands the respect nations have for each other which is necessary for economics and security.
He had under Biden a plan to expand into the US. He is now planning that expansion in Portugal. Portugal gets 34 jobs the US doesn’t. Even more interesting is a Canadian company that imported consumer products from the US The day after the US election he began scouting for replacements and when his contract with the US companies expire in late Feb he will be no longer importing from the US but from 3 other countries run by sane people as he put it, including Mexico. So Mexico’s business increases and the US decreases. I doubt Canada will be buying much milk from the US either. Wisconsin’s economy will suffer.
