Nigeria: NDL hands over refitted Benin Navy Ship

The Nigerian Naval Dockyard Limited (NDL) has handed over the refitted Benin Navy Ship (BNS) Matelot Brice Kpomassé to the Republic of Benin Navy. This marks the third vessel to be completed under the first phase of a bilateral agreement between Nigeria and Benin to refit six Beninese ships
This project strengthens regional security architecture in the Gulf of Guinea and demonstrates Nigeria’s commitment to deepening bilateral maritime ties. The Beninese Chief of Naval Staff praised the Nigerian Naval Dockyard for its technical prowess and effective South-South cooperation
The handover ceremony was attended by senior officials from both countries, highlighting the importance of this partnership in enhancing regional maritime security.
