Nigeria: Military neutralizes over 20 terrorists in North-East operations

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have neutralized more than 20 terrorists and arrested several collaborators in a week-long operation across the North East. The operations, which took place between August 23 and August 30, targeted terrorist hideouts in Borno and Yobe States.

During the operations, troops recovered AK-47 rifles, Rocket-Propelled Grenade tubes, bombs, and hundreds of 7.62mm rounds. They also safely detonated Improvised Explosive Devices and intercepted 242 bags of NPK fertilizer meant for insurgents.

The military high command commended the troops for their resilience and professionalism, assuring them of sustained support to consolidate gains in the ongoing counter-insurgency operations. The offensives disrupted insurgent supply chains, denying terrorists freedom of action and enabling safer socio-economic activities in the region.
