As the holy month of Ramadan has started, our nation’s youngest superstar, MOLZE, shares his heartfelt advice for fellow observers.

Modou Lamin Kongira aka MOLZE born on January 22, 1999, has already made a significant impact in the Gambian music scene , and wants to inspire others during this sacred time.

Set Clear Intentions:

MOLZE emphasizes that Ramadan is not just about refraining from food and drink. “It’s a time for spiritual growth and self-reflection,” he says. “Set clear and sincere intentions for why you’re fasting and what you hope to achieve spiritually.”

Stay Hydrated:

With long fasting hours, MOLZE advises staying hydrated during Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) and Iftar (breaking fast). “Aim to drink plenty of water and include hydrating foods like fruits and vegetables in your meals,” he suggests.

Balanced Nutrition:

Ensuring that Suhoor and Iftar meals are balanced and nutritious is crucial. MOLZE recommends including a good mix of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats to maintain energy levels throughout the day. “Avoid heavy, fried, and sugary foods that can make you feel sluggish,” he warns.

Manage Your Time Wisely:

MOLZE encourages effective time management to include time for prayer, recitation of the Quran, and other acts of worship. “Use the quiet moments of fasting to reflect and seek spiritual growth,” he advises.

Stay Active:

While it might be challenging to exercise while fasting, MOLZE suggests incorporating light physical activities such as walking or stretching. “Engaging in moderate exercise after Iftar can also be beneficial,” he adds.

Get Enough Rest:

Fasting can be physically demanding, and MOLZE emphasizes the importance of getting sufficient sleep to help the body recover. “Try to take short naps during the day if you find yourself feeling fatigued,” he recommends.

Practice Patience and Gratitude:

Ramadan is a time to develop patience and gratitude. MOLZE encourages embracing the opportunity to practice self-control, empathy, and kindness towards others. “Use this time to reflect on the blessings in your life and express gratitude,” he says.

Give to Charity:

One of the pillars of Ramadan is giving to those in need. MOLZE highlights the importance of supporting charitable causes, whether through donations or volunteer work. “Helping others can bring a sense of fulfillment and strengthen your community bonds,” he believes.

Connect with Loved Ones:

Although Ramadan is a time for personal reflection, MOLZE reminds us that it’s also an opportunity to connect with family and friends. “Share meals, pray together, and support each other in your spiritual journey,” he advises.

Stay Positive:

Fasting can be challenging, but MOLZE maintains that a positive mindset can make the experience more fulfilling. “Focus on the spiritual rewards and the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing the fast,” he encourages.

As we observe Ramadan, MOLZE’s heartfelt advice resonates with many, offering guidance and inspiration to make the most of this sacred month.

May your Ramadan be filled with peace, reflection, and spiritual growth. 🌙✨
