Super Cup finals set to ignite volleyball new season on Saturday

Banjul The, April 2, 2026 – The Gambia Volleyball Federation (GVBF) is set to stage an exciting Super Cup finale this Saturday, 4 April 2026, at the Independence Stadium, promising a thrilling showcase of the country’s top volleyball talent.
The much-anticipated event will feature two high-stakes clashes in both the female and male categories, bringing together some of the strongest teams in Gambian volleyball.
In the women’s final, Police will lock horns with GAF at 16:00, in what is expected to be a fiercely contested encounter between two well-established sides. Both teams have demonstrated consistency and resilience throughout the season, setting the stage for a gripping showdown.
The action will continue with the men’s final at 17:30, where GAF will return to the court to face YMCA. With both teams known for their athleticism and tactical discipline, fans can expect an intense battle for the Super Cup title.
The Super Cup finale not only marks the climax of the domestic volleyball calendar but also highlights the growing development of the sport in The Gambia.
With an entry fee of D50, spectators are encouraged to turn out in numbers to support their teams and celebrate the sport in what promises to be an electrifying evening of volleyball at Independence Stadium.
