Countries in the Middle East and around the world have voiced fear of a regional conflagration after the United States and Israel carried out strikes on Iran on Saturday.

The attacks have sparked a flurry of reactions from world leaders, with many calling for restraint and de-escalation.

Russia Former President Dmitry Medvedev said talks with the US were just a “cover” and that Russia’s citizens should leave Iran.

Qatar Initially said it was secure, but later reported intercepting an Iranian missile and repelling “a number of attacks”.

EU Warned the situation was “perilous” and called for civilians to be protected, with European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen urging “all parties to exercise restraint”.

UK Fared the strikes could blow up into a broader Middle East conflict, urging citizens in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE to find shelter.

Jordan Military said its air force was working to protect the kingdom and its people, intercepting two ballistic missiles targeting the kingdom.

Ukraine Blamed Iran’s government for the attacks, citing its “violence against its own people and other countries”.

France Prioritised the safety of its citizens, with Deputy Defence Minister Alice Rufo saying Paris was monitoring the situation closely.

African Union Called for restraint, de-escalation, and dialogue, warning that conflict could harm people on the continent.
