Indian authorities have arrested two Nigerians, Aful Clement and Lazarus Favour, for overstaying and involvement in drug-related activities in Tolichowki, a suburb of Hyderabad. The duo were nabbed by the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing and may face deportation to Nigeria.

Clement entered India on a business visa, which expired in 2019, and was previously arrested in a cheating case in Chandigarh. Favour, on the other hand, entered India on a student visa but started dealing with drug offenders. Both individuals were acting suspiciously in the Tolichowki police station limits.

Although no drugs were recovered during their apprehension, authorities suspect they were involved in drug peddling. Their activities were deemed a threat to national security, prompting the authorities to initiate their deportation.

The case highlights the importance of adhering to visa regulations and the consequences of overstaying. The Indian authorities are taking steps to deport the two Nigerians, which may have implications for their future travel and immigration prospects.

The arrest of the two Nigerians in India serves as a reminder of the need for individuals to comply with immigration regulations and laws. The possible deportation of the duo may also have diplomatic implications between Nigeria and India.
