Nigeria: Trump warns Hamas: “Eradication” looms if Gaza deal is breached

U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Hamas on Monday, stating the militant group would face “eradication” if it violates the fragile Gaza ceasefire agreement with Israel. The ultimatum comes amid escalating tensions, as weekend violence nearly derailed the truce brokered by Trump nearly two weeks ago.
We made a deal with Hamas that they’re going to be very good, they’re going to behave, they’re going to be nice,” Trump said at the White House while hosting Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. “_And if they’re not, we’re going to go and we’re going to eradicate them, if we have to. Israel accuses Hamas of stalling on releasing hostages and launching attacks, while the group has resumed public executions of rivals in Gaza.
Trump argues Hamas is “weaker” without Iran’s backing, but the group’s grip on Gaza complicates the plan. “They don’t have the backing of anybody anymore. They have to be good, or they’ll be eradicated,” he warned.
