Nigeria: President Tinubu approves ambassador-designates
By Zuleihat Owuiye, Mamos Nigeria
Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has approved the posting of four ambassador-designates to key countries. The appointees are:
High Commissioner-designate to the United Kingdom (former ambassador to South Korea)
Ambassador-designate to Turkey (former governor of Kebbi).
The President has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to notify the respective governments. This follows the Senate’s confirmation of 68 nominees in December, after nearly two years of vacancies. Other notable nominees include Reno Omokri, Mahmood Yakubu, Femi Fani-Kayode, and Fatima Florence Ajimobi.
