Nigeria: Police invited Pastor Okafor for questioning over allegations of rape

The Lagos State Police Command has invited Pastor Chris Okafor, Senior Pastor of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, for questioning over allegations of multiple rape and other sexual offences. The police spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that the Commissioner of Police, Mr Olohundare Jimoh, has directed a thorough investigation into the allegations 

Pastor Okafor has been formally served with an invitation letter and is expected to cooperate with investigators at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti.

 The police have assured victims and witnesses of confidentiality and protection throughout the investigation.

Anyone with credible information or evidence is encouraged to come forward and assist investigators.
