The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have joined forces in a bid to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. A closed-door meeting between PDP leaders, led by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, and ADC leaders, including former Senate President David Mark and ex-Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, took place at Mark’s Abuja residence on Wednesday.

The meeting centered on collaboration, platform choice, terms of engagement, and power-sharing arrangements. Insiders revealed that the parties agreed to form a strategic alliance, with the goal of defeating Tinubu in the upcoming polls. Notable attendees included former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, and former Governors Rotimi Amaechi and Rabiu Kwankwaso.

However, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike’s camp, has distanced itself from the alliance talks, stating that no such meeting was authorized by the party.
