Nigeria: Nigeria grapples growing terrorist, bandit attacks

Nigeria is grappling with a growing wave of insecurity, as terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and robbers control vast ungoverned spaces across the country. From forests to creeks, and highways to borders, no region is spared. Citizens live in constant fear, with daily reports of killings, abductions, and ransom demands. 

We urge the government to take notice and come to our help. “This is too much for our community. Kidnapping every day is a threat to our society these days. We therefore call on the state government to please look into our situation. We hardly go to our farm again just because of kidnappers,” said a farmer.
