Bandits have struck again in Niger State, Nigeria, killing at least 42 people, including children, and abducting scores of others in Agwara and Borgu Local Government Areas. The attack comes less than a month after over 300 students and staff were abducted from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri.

President Bola Tinubu has directed security agencies to track down the perpetrators and ensure they face justice. Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger State expressed sadness over the attack, describing it as “cruel and nefarious.”
