The younger brother of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has been arrested by the police outside a Lagos court. Adura, Mohbad’s brother, was taken away alongside his friend, Ibrahim Koleosho, also known as King White, after attending a court proceeding related to a phone he sold to one Damola Ayinde.

The arrest is reportedly connected to a petition filed by actor Yomi Fabiyi, who alleged that Adura initiated an Instagram chat claiming to have video evidence of Mohbad’s death and demanding N3 million in Bitcoin in exchange for the video. However, Adura denied the allegations, stating that the chat was from Ayinde, whom he had sold his phone to.

A forensic investigation has been conducted, and the court is still probing the case. Reacting to the arrest, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, broke down in tears, pleading for help to locate her son. In a viral video, she accused Yomi Fabiyi and one Sam Jojo of orchestrating the abduction.

The family has expressed concerns about Adura’s whereabouts, and a police source confirmed that he and his friend were arrested by operatives of the Zone 2 Police Command. However, the reason for the arrest is still unclear.

Efforts to reach Yomi Fabiyi and the police spokesperson, Ayuba Umma, were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
