The Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions has revealed that late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, withdrew assault complaints against his former label boss, Abdulazeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley. This decision was made on October 11, 2022, citing an amicable resolution, which made it legally impossible to pursue further action against Naira Marley
The court has acquitted Naira Marley, show promoter Samson Balogun Eletu (aka Sam Larry), Mohbad’s former manager Babatunde Opere, and Ibrahim Owodunni (aka Primeboy) of direct responsibility in Mohbad’s death. However, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, an auxiliary nurse, and Ayobami Sadiq (aka Spending) will face prosecution for reckless and negligent acts leading to Mohbad’s demise
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, due to complications from an injury sustained during a concert on September 10, 2023. The injury occurred when Mohbad punched Primeboy, who was trying to prevent him from leaving the vehicle due to the presence of touts demanding money.
