Convicted billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans, has pleaded for mercy before the Lagos State High Court. Evans expressed remorse for his actions and stated that he has undergone a transformation during his time in Kirikiri Maximum Prison.

As part of his plea bargain agreement, Evans offered to surrender all his properties, including 14 brand-new trucks, to the Lagos State Government. The proceeds from the sale of these trucks would be transferred to the victims of his criminal activities.

Evans also claimed that he has obtained a teaching diploma in economics from Yewa College of Education and is now a teacher at the correctional centre in Kirikiri. He argued that denying him mercy would render useless the scholarship awarded to him by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Additionally, Evans stated that he has acquired new skills, including training in welding and metal fabrication, and is currently studying Political Science at the National Open University of Nigeria under the Federal Government’s scholarship scheme.
