GNOC inaugurates Commissions and Committees

Banjul The Gambia, October 29, 2025 – The Gambia National Olympic Committee on Wednesday inaugurated  8 Commisions and Committees to spearhead key thematic areas under the auspices of the NOC.

In his statement Bai Dodou Jallow president of Gambia National Olympic Committee thanked all members for accepting their nomination to serve.

We are aware of the task that’s ahead of us. These Commissions and Committees are key and integral in what we do as an NOC and we will put all efforts to support in your roles and responsibilities.

With your commitment and hard work we can do a lot together and enhance the Olympic movement in The Gambia Jallow stated.

The following commissions and committees were inaugurated.

1. Athletes Commision – Chair by Gina Bass

2. Constitutional Review Committee (Ad Hoc) – chair by Mben Faal Esq.

3. Sustainability Commission – Chair by Yorro Njie

4. Gender Equality Commission – Chair by Mben Faal Esq.

5. Medical and Anti Doping Committee – Chair by Dr. Omar Jagne

6. OlympAfrica Center Management Committee – Chair by Bakary K Jammeh

7. Mass Participation Commision – Chair by Lamin King Colley

8. Marketing and Fundraising Committee – chair by Bakary K Jammeh.
