Gambia to host Int’l Referee Candidate Course

The Gambia is set to host the International Referee Candidate Course (IRCC) from August 31st September 7, 2025, in Banjul. This prestigious course, organized by the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB), aims to enhance the technical capacity of beach volleyball referees to international standards.

The IRCC will contribute to developing volleyball in Africa, aligning with the CAVB’s strategic goals. This course is part of the CAVB’s efforts to reduce the number of National Federations without international beach volleyball referees.

Meanwhile, The Gambia is set to host the CAVB U18 Youth Development Cup, a prestigious beach volleyball tournament featuring top young athletes from across Africa.

This event is part of the African Volleyball Confederation’s strategy to ensure strong African representation at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games Beach Volleyball event.

The event that will run from September 2nd to 7th is aim at developing youth volleyball in Africa, promoting Olympic values, and prepare athletes for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
