Gambia 3×3 basketball team to face off against Libya

The Gambia 3×3 basketball team will face off against Libya and DR Congo in the maiden African School Games in Algeria.

The team is in good shape and ready to conquer against big names. Games starts tomorrow, Sunday 27th July 2025.

In a similar development, The Gambia beach volleyball teams confirmed opponents following the drawing of lots.

The male team will face Comoros, Benin and Sao Tome in pool B whiles our female team will negotiate with Tunisia, Ghana and Benin in pool B.

Meanwhile, The Gambia joined thousands with beautiful colors under the skyline of Annaba during the opening ceremony of the 1st African School Games today, Saturday 26th July 2025.

Serreh Sanneh of athletics was the flag bearer for The Gambia during the opening ceremony of the 1st African School Games.

Serreh will represent The Gambia in the sprint event and long jump.
