The Brikama Area Council (BAC) in the West Coast Region on Monday commissioned new waste trucks, pickup, among others.
In a statement, the council said the commissioning of the fleet marks a defining moment in the council commitment to rebuilding and transforming the West Coast Region.
“We are proud to have commissioned a brand-new fleet to enhance waste management and improve public service delivery,” it said.

“This achievement is not merely the arrival of equipment. It is the result of deliberate leadership, financial discipline, and a shared vision for change.”
“When we took office, we inherited a system overwhelmed by debt with millions of dalasi in deficit. Departments were barely functioning and essential services had deteriorated,” it added.
It further said that through decisive action, anti-corruption reforms, and a transparent approach to governance, they have restored stability, rebuilt systems, and regained public trust.
โIn just two years, we have moved from crisis to capability and this fleet now stands as a symbol of that progress. It will greatly strengthen our waste collection systems and promote cleaner, healthier communities for all,โ it went on to say.
“We continue to encourage all residents to fulfill their civic duty by paying taxes regularly. Your contributions make development possible.”
“As leaders and citizens let us remain committed and to integrity in all that we do.”
“This is how we will continue to build a West Coast Region defined by progress, accountability, and service to the people.”
