President Bola Tinubu remains committed to prioritizing the welfare of Nigerian children, despite security threats, said Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu. Bagudu made this statement at the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) World Children’s Day celebration in Abuja, emphasizing Tinubu’s focus on long-term investments in children’s development.

Bagudu assured that Tinubu is an advocate for investing in children and teacher education, committed to providing maximum support for their development.

The event followed the abduction of students from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State, prompting calls for prayer and collective action against child abductions.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu stressed the importance of respecting children’s rights, emphasizing that protecting them is essential for building a fair and compassionate society.

The celebration’s theme, “Listen to Children: My Day, My Rights,” highlights the importance of giving children a platform to share their thoughts and aspirations. The First Lady urged Nigerians to reaffirm their collective duty to protect and empower every Nigerian child, ensuring they grow up with hope and confidence.
