Nigeria: Ciara participates in Lagos Fashion Week

Ciara, the American-Beninoise Grammy Award-winning artist, has set the tone for Detty December 2025 with her recent visit to Lagos, Nigeria. Her trip was a major highlight, as she participated in the Lagos Fashion Week 2025, walking the runway at the Federal Palace Hotel Ballroom in a stunning red custom Fruche bubu.
Ciara’s visit marked her first time in Lagos since 2006, and she was visibly thrilled by the city’s transformation. She praised the city’s cleanliness and development, saying, “When I used to land, I used to see dirty roads, but now it’s all clean, and it has changed”
Ciara was officially welcomed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Lagos House Marina, where she was honored for her contribution to putting Lagos on the global map.
She stole the show at Lagos Fashion Week, wearing a custom-made outfit and receiving rave reviews from fans and designers alike.
Ciara surprised fans by visiting the popular Balogun Market, where she shopped for fabrics and interacted with local children.
She also visited the famous Nike Art Gallery, where she dressed in traditional Nigerian attire.
Ciara celebrated her belated 40th birthday in Lagos, with a party hosted by Lagos Tourism and an entertainment company.
Ciara’s visit has generated buzz around Detty December, with many looking forward to her return. She even reunited with supermodel Naomi Campbell at the CFDA Awards in France, where they shared experiences and Nigerian cuisine, promising to return to Lagos for “back to back” vibes.
