Nigeria: New INEC chairman vows to ensure credible elections

Professor Joash Amupitan, the newly confirmed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has promised to conduct credible elections where losers will congratulate winners. Amupitan made this commitment during his screening exercise at the Senate, assuring that his administration will work with relevant agencies to achieve this goal.
The Senate expects Amupitan to deliver on his promises, ensuring that elections are conducted in a fair and transparent manner. The Senate also urged him to work with relevant agencies to address the challenges facing the electoral body.
