Scorpions intend to boycott today’s match with Seychelles in protest

Lamin Kaba Bajo, president of the Gambia Football Federation, has confirmed to The Point that footballers of the National Team the Scorpions intend to boycott today’s match against Seychelles in Mauritius.
Today’s match against Seychelles is part of Scorpions’ 2026 World Cup qualifier matches.

The footballers yesterday refused to go for training, leaving the coaching staff with no option but to return with an empty bus.

“They asked to be paid their 3 matches arrears of bonus,” Mr Bajo said.
