Nigeria: Diddy requests transfer to low-security prison

Sean “Diddy” Combs wants to swap the tough‑lockup Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn for the low‑security FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. His lawyers argue the move would let him join the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) and see his family more often, and they’ve asked Judge Arun Subramanian to recommend the transfer.
The final say still rests with the Bureau of Prisons, which says it “has no position” on the request.
A recent ruling recommends he stay near the New York area, but no specific prison has been officially ordered.
