Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) Preparations in Full Gears

The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Welfare, along with its development partners, is working tirelessly to ensure the successful participation of the Gambian delegation in the upcoming session.
A local committee has been actively meeting to finalize arrangements. Most participants have now been informed about their selection for this significant global gathering next week.
The sixty-ninth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Representatives from Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) worldwide are invited to attend.
This year’s session marks 30 years since the adoption of the Beijing Platform for Action, reaffirming global commitments to advancing women’s rights across 12 critical areas of concern:
Women and poverty, Women and health, Education and training of women, Violence against women, Women and armed conflict, Women and the economy, Women in power and decision-making, Institutional mechanisms for the advancement of women, Human rights of women, Women and the media, Women and the environment and The girl child
As preparations continue, stakeholders remain committed to ensuring that CSW69 serves as a platform for meaningful dialogue and action toward gender equality.
