Police investigate alleged murder in Dippa Kunda
The Serekunda Police are investigating an alleged murder involving two siblings in Dippa Kunda on Friday, January 31, 2025.
The suspect, Fatoumata Bintou Jallow, 18, has been arrested and is cooperating with investigators in connection with the alleged murder of her brother, Abdou Rahman Jallow, 21 (now deceased). She remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
As part of the inquiry, Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) of the Gambia Police Force visited the crime scene early on Saturday morning, February 1, 2025, to reconstruct the scene and gather evidence. During the process, investigators recovered the suspected murder weapon (a knife).
The body has been transferred to EFSTH for possible postmortem examination.
