Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha Akide has disclosed that she is currently in a relationship but would not publicly identify her partner as her man until he puts a ring on her finger.

The reality TV star made this known during an appearance on the Morayo Afolabi show, where she explained her decision to keep details of her romantic life private.

According to Tacha, relationships can change unexpectedly, and she would rather avoid publicly declaring someone as her partner only for the relationship to end shortly afterwards.

She explained that although she is currently involved with someone, she prefers not to make a permanent declaration about the relationship.

“I would say that he’s somebody I like, but who knows? I could be on the show next week and say I’m not in a relationship, break up and come back, but for now I’m in a relationship,” she said.

Tacha also spoke about the importance of having a romantic partner, particularly for people who have achieved success in the entertainment industry.

She noted that fame and professional accomplishments can sometimes come with loneliness, making it important to have someone who offers companionship and emotional support.

“In this industry, you need that one person because it is always lonely at the top,” she added.

Speaking about her preferred qualities in a man, the former BBNaija housemate said she is attracted to someone who is generally quiet but feels comfortable expressing himself around her.

She explained that her ideal partner should be outspoken in private while remaining composed when they are in public.

Tacha further listed hard work, financial stability and devotion to God among the qualities she wants in a partner.

Her comments have offered a glimpse into her approach to relationships, suggesting that she prefers to protect her privacy while waiting for a commitment that gives her confidence to publicly acknowledge her partner.
