lndigenous Nigerian rapper CDQ has shared his assessment of fellow rapper Blaqbonez, describing him as musically stronger than several established names in the Nigerian hip-hop scene while saying he lacks the personality of Odumodublvck.

CDQ made the comments during a recent appearance on the Faloh Frequency podcast, where he discussed some of the leading rappers in Nigeria and the differences between their musical abilities and personalities.

According to the rapper, Blaqbonez is stronger than Odumodublvck when it comes to music, but he believes Odumodublvck has an advantage in terms of personality and public presence.

“Blaqbonez is better than Odumodublvck music-wise, but Odumodublvck edges him when it comes to personality,” CDQ said.

He also placed Blaqbonez ahead of veteran rappers including Falz, Ice Prince, Reminisce and Vector in terms of music.

CDQ’s comments come amid discussions among Nigerian hip-hop fans about the different qualities that contribute to a rapper’s success, including lyricism, delivery, musical versatility, stage presence and personality.

While acknowledging Blaqbonez’s musical ability, CDQ suggested that having a strong personality can also play an important role in how an artiste connects with audiences.

Blaqbonez, known for his outspoken personality and distinctive approach to Nigerian hip-hop, has established himself as one of the younger generation of rappers making an impact in the country’s music industry.

Odumodublvck, meanwhile, has gained significant attention for his energetic style, distinctive image and strong presence within Nigeria’s alternative and hip-hop music scenes.

CDQ’s comparison therefore highlights a distinction between technical or musical ability and the broader personality that an artiste brings to their career.

His assessment has also generated discussion among music fans, particularly because it places Blaqbonez above several respected names in Nigerian rap while giving Odumodublvck the edge in personality.
