By Zuleihat Owuiye, Nigeria
Nigerian streamer Carter Efe has accused fellow content creator Peller of being behind the removal of his TikTok account after the platform permanently banned him.
Carter’s allegation came a day after TikTok reportedly permanently banned his account for violating its community guidelines.
Speaking during an interview with Channels Television in Lagos on Thursday night, Carter claimed that Peller was responsible for the incident.
He also made a threatening remark directed at someone close to Peller, suggesting that he would take action against the person.
Carter said, “Na Peller hacked am. Me I don already tell am say I no dey chop people’s account but I go chop person wey dey around am.”
Carter did not provide evidence to support his claim that Peller hacked his account.
The allegation comes amid growing attention surrounding the permanent ban of the streamer’s TikTok account and his ongoing dispute with Peller.
Peller has not been quoted in the report as responding to Carter’s accusation.
