Nigeria: Basil makes comeback with “No Me Lo Creo”

Villavicencio, Colombia — March 2026 — After spending a decade at the helm of Colombian band Ciudad Cielo, singer-songwriter and musician Bryan Tapias is stepping into a new chapter with the launch of his solo project, Basil.

The artist introduces the project with his debut single, “No Me Lo Creo,” released on March 27, 2026. The track signals a fresh creative direction for Tapias, combining elements of contemporary pop and alternative indie with deeply personal songwriting.

Rather than chasing a particular sound, Basil uses the song to explore emotions, experiences and questions of faith that have shaped his journey. The result is an intimate track built around honest lyrics, carefully layered production and vocals designed to draw listeners into the story.

Tapias is no stranger to the stage. Between 2006 and 2016, he toured some of Colombia’s leading venues with Ciudad Cielo, building years of experience as both a performer and songwriter.

Now, after a long-awaited return to music, he is approaching his solo career with a broader artistic vision. Basil brings together musicians and audiovisual creators who share a focus on strong musicianship, thoughtful production and compelling visual storytelling.
