Nigeria: Police commend female officers on International Women’s Day

The Lagos State Police Command has praised its female officers and staff for their courage, resilience, and dedication on the occasion of International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026. SP Abimbola Adebisi, the command’s spokesperson, acknowledged the invaluable contributions of women in the police force, highlighting their professionalism and commitment to improving service delivery across the state.

Adebisi noted that female officers and civilian staff have consistently demonstrated bravery and dedication, often working under challenging conditions to ensure residents’ safety and security. She encouraged them to continue demonstrating professionalism and commitment to service, contributing to the overall development of the command and community safety.

The commendation is part of the police command’s efforts to recognize and appreciate the efforts of women in uniform and civilian roles, who play a vital role in maintaining peace, security, and public safety throughout the state.
